I started Girl Boss Monday a couple of months ago to showcase my weekly picks of what is important in the world of female empowerment, more specifically helpful tips, tricks and articles geared towards women and their finances, career, relationships, life, etc.
My posting schedule has been a bit erratic due to multiple job interviews, life in general and a very cute puppy…but this week things are slowing down a bit and I will hopefully be on a consistent posting schedule for the near future.
With that said, here are my picks for Girl Boss Monday:

1- I thought this article about women in finance was very interesting. The article is from the Wall Street Journal and it discusses new research that suggests that Female CEOs of banks have a lower risk of failure and default than those run by their male counterparts. Who knows if the study and research are accurate but it is an interesting idea nonetheless.
“Of the 7,000 U.S. commercial banks we examined, those with female CEOs and chairmen held about 5% to 6% more equity capital than male-led banks and had lower default risk.” Read more here
